The List Office 365 Users page contains the Office 365 Users table that displays all the company’s Office 365 user accounts and allows administrators to view user-related details. Additionally the administrator can also drill down and view additional details like Block Credential, Strong Password Required, Usage Location and Validation Status.

Office 365 Users Table

The table displays the following information:

  • User Principal Name– Mailbox email address associated with the Office 365 user account. Please note that some user accounts, like the ones used to primarily connect to SharePoint or Lync, do have a mailbox.
  • Display Name– Display name associated with the Office 365 user account
  • Is Licensed– Indicates whether or not the Office 365 user account is licensed to use the Office 365 services. “true” implies the user account is licensed while “false” implies the account is not licensed.
  • Password Never Expires– Indicates whether or not the mailbox password of the user account is set to never expire. “true” implies the password will never expire while “false” implies the password will expire at a point selected by the mailbox administrator.
  • Licenses– Displays the type of license to which the user account is subscribed.
  • Usage Location– Location of the user account

Sort Office 365 Users Details

The User details table can be sorted according to the column header. To do so, click the column header by which you want to sort the information.
For example: if you want to view user accounts in order of whether or not their passwords are set to never expire, simply click the Password Never Expires header. The table rearranges the information in accordance with the selected header.

How to View Office 365 User Details

  1. Log into 365 Command. The Mailbox Details dashboard page appears.
  2. In the horizontal menu on the left side of the page, click List Office 365 Users (Fig. 1). The Office 365 Users page appears (Fig.1).
  3. In the User Principal Name column, click the email address whose user details you want to view (Fig.1). Alternatively, you can also search for the email address by entering the address in the Enter search terms here text box on top of the table or navigate through the list by clicking the page numbers at the bottom of the table (Fig.1)

    A dialog box appears displaying various details associated with the 365 Command user account like Block Credential (which indicates whether the user is allowed to sign into Office 365), Object Id and so on. (Fig.2). Click the tabs in the dialog box to view more user account related information (Fig.2). Click Close (Fig.2) at the bottom of the dialog box to return to the Office 365 Users page.

Assigning Licenses to Existing Users

If an Office 365 User does not have a license, when the Licenses tab is clicked, a license can be assigned to the user.
