The Mailbox Permissions page contains the Mailbox Permissions table that allows administrators to view permission levels of all the Exchange mailboxes associated with each Office 365 user. These permission levels were granted using the Edit Mailbox Permission functionality of 365 Command (See Edit Mailbox Permissions). Additionally, administrators can also drill down to view more Exchange mailbox permission details like Full Access Deny, Full Access Allowed and Change Permission Deny.

Mailbox Permissions Table

The table displays the following information:

  • Email Address– Email address of the Exchange mailbox
  • Display Name– Display name associated with the Exchange mailbox
  • Full Access Allowed– Displays the names of the users (if any) who have full access to this Exchange mailbox. If the field is blank, it implies that only the mailbox user has full access.
  • Change Permission Allowed– Displays the names of the users (if any) who only have change permission access to this Exchange mailbox, i.e. the user can modify items within the mailbox. If the field is blank, it implies that only the mailbox user has Change Permission access.
  • Read Permission Allowed– Displays the names of the users (if any) who only have read access to this Exchange mailbox, i.e. the user can only view items within the mailbox. If the field is blank, it implies that only the mailbox user has Read Permission access.

Sort Mailbox Permissions Details

Exchange mailbox permission details can be sorted according to the column header. To do so, click the column header by which you want to sort the information. For example: if you want to view mailboxes alphabetically according to Display Name, simply click the Display Name column header (Fig.1). The table rearranges to display accounts alphabetically by Display Name.

How to View Mailbox Permission Details

  1. Log into 365 Command. The Mailbox Details Dashboard page appears.
  2. In the horizontal menu on the left side of the page, click List Mailbox Permissions (Fig.1). The Mailbox Permissions page appears (Fig.1).
  3. In the Email Address column, click an email address whose mailbox permission details you want to view (Fig.1). Alternatively, you can also search for the account by entering the email address in the Enter search terms here text box or navigate through the list by clicking the page numbers at the bottom of the table (Fig.1).

    A dialog box appears displaying various permission-related details associated with the Exchange mailbox (Fig.2). Click Close (Fig.2) to return to the Mailbox Details page.
